Elizabeth Wieland

Elizabeth Wieland received a Master’s degree in Psychology from Bucknell University with her thesis focusing on differences between pianists and violinists and the way they encode musical notation. Her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and in Clarinet Performance were from Alma College and focused on musician and non-musician differences during cognitive tasks. She is broadly interested in music cognition, the differences between musician groups, the differences between musicians and non-musicians, and is currently involved in a number of different research projects in both labs ranging from the study of amusia to speech prosody.
